I Like Japanese Hardcore - Live On WFHB

Indie folk punk pop.  From the Plan-It-X website: This was a short lived bloomington pop band along the lines of go sailor or cub. in fact, we did covers of each of those bands. the band was just us 2 people, Casey on guitar and vocals and (me) chris clavin on drums (poorly). We never got around to recording anything but once, casey played live on the cool local radio station during women in music week and i recorded it. i wasn't there, so it's just her solo.

Wingnut Dishwashers Union - Compost Yuppie Scum

This is reportedly the last song recorded by Wingnut Dishwashers Union before frontman Pat the Bunny entered rehab. Folk punk at its finest. This is one of his much lesser known songs, but it's really something. If you aren't familiar with this band or Pat the Bunny's other projects, familiarize yourself with them. He's one of the most talented and inspirational humans in the entire world.

1. Compost Yuppie Scum

Hi Ho Silver, Away! - Comprise

3 Songs From CJ the Kid

These are three songs by a pretty cool rapper from South Portland, Maine. This isn't an official release, it's a minicomp of the three songs of his that I have on my computer.  They're all good, but I especially recommend "Believe In Make Believe." According to his Facebook page he has his first mixtape coming out on January 18th (two days from today, for all those unaware). Think of this as a teaser, and if you enjoy it, pick up the mixtape when it comes out.

The Sea People - Lukka

This is hard to describe. It's like walking through a misty forest alone in the early morning, surrounded by green, listening to a girl sing at you backed by tribes of people across a huge valley landscape which builds up to a wall of disco violin funk thrown in there for good measure. In other words, download this song from Stanford University's The Sea People.
